Of course she is well known the world over for “First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” and "Killing Me Softly,” for which she became the first person in history to win two back-to-back Grammy Awards for Best Record (a feat only recently matched by Billie Eilish), but there is so much more to her story and her impact. With full cooperation and support of her record label Warner Music and Roberta Flack herself, this documentary delivers everything you might expect, and thanks to the enthusiastic on-screen presence of other numerous superstars from various fields who know Flack and have been inspired by her work, including Clint Eastwood, Reverend Jesse Jackson, Angela Davis, and Sean Lennon it is a timely testament to the powerful influence of Roberta Flack on our world, today. The film is a journey of discovery, a trip down memory lane and an urgent call to action.
