What’s notable about this episode is its speed – the sketches start and end abruptly, often without a space for breath, or laughter. David Jason, excellent throughout, features prominently; Michael Palin is genuinely sinister as an invading alien who talks something like a Troughton-era Doctor Who Cyberman, the Bonzos don’t even pretend to be playing their instruments; and one wonders what the nation’s school-children made of the utterly bewildering Miss World song.
