Using the verbatim comments taken from the first video uploaded to YouTube of Zinedene Zidane’s infamous World Cup final headbutt (11 years ago and with 9 million views) this film excavates the anger, praise, damnation and forgiveness felt by fans towards this god-like figures dramatic fall from grace. Did he throw away his country’s chance of winning the world cup or was he heroically defending his honour? Was it a terrible mistake or calculated decision to end his career as an existential hero, on his own terms?
