Documentary tracing the development of Photomontage, based on the pioneering work of John Heartfield, through to the contemporary use of these techniques in advertising and video. The film looks at the work of John Heartfield, particularly that aimed against Hitler and the Nazis, and takes a radical and look at Photomontage, with the animation of archive material, contemporary interviews and footage shot in Berlin during the opening of the Berlin Wall.
