The first success of the BFI’s Missing, Believed Wiped campaign was this virtually complete show, donated by a collector from Reading who had been unaware it was missing from the archives. Notable sketches include the return of Sydney Lotterby and the hearing aid shop sketch, which was later performed in German for the Monty Python team’s German TV specials Monty Python’s Fliegende Zirkus. The abrupt ending of the visuals means that the show has had to be completed in sound only here.
