Through testimonies and live performances, this film reviews three decades of the evolution of Jazz in which Marcus plays a critical part. A history showing a remarkable humanity, a knowledge for and a rare appreciation of the history of music: African-American music roots, his childhood Gospel at church, the orchestral-funk of his last album and also his new relation to African music.
