Film Noir

Some people argue whether film noir is a genre or not, but who can resist its charms of late night crimes, surly detectives and beautiful women? These films range from classics, like the French thriller, La Dénonciation, with its black and white cinematography and twisting plot, to the unconventional German animated tale, Felidae, a feline murder mystery. Whether the film is a true noir or has just let the feeling sink into its DNA, all are bound to keep a viewer guessing until the end.
