Palestinian filmmaker Mohamed Jabaly’s 2020 short film follows the interactions with friends and family back home in Gaza while living in exile in Northern Norway, not being able to return. Jabaly’s first award-winning feature Ambulance was released a few years prior, and his latest film Life is Beautiful – Al Haya Helwa premiered in November 2023 to great acclaim and broad distribution. Together, the three films form a trilogy on Exile from Palestine.
