A desperate filmmaker is seized by inspiration when he and his girlfriend adopt a traumatized rescue dog. This sets off a riotous chain of new challenges on how to deal with this addition to the household. The couple each pursue their own deep held individual questions surrounding trust, purpose and what it means to be a modern family. The dog, in the meantime, has a lot on her paws with these two!
